Michelle Bennett, CPA
Michelle Bennett is a native of Thomson, GA and now resides in North Augusta, SC. Michelle received her Bachelors of Business Administration in Economics & Finance from Augusta State University in 1996.
Michelle serves as the firm’s employee benefit plan audit partner and is responsible for the quality of the firm's ERISA employee benefit plan audit practice. In addition, Michelle specializes in audits of governments and not-for-profit organizations. She is experienced with the application of federal and state tax laws, as they relate to not-for-profit entities, as well as with the requirements of federal regulations relating to clients who receive government funding. She consults with clients on a variety of accounting and taxation issues.
Michelle has served as a speaker for Augusta State University, the Georgia Society of CPA’s, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, and Lorman Education Services. Michelle is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of CPA’s where she currently serves as the Augusta Chapter President. Michelle is involved in the local community as a graduate of Leadership Augusta (2009) and by serving on the Board of Directors for the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce where she serves as Chair-Elect.
Michelle is married to Charles Bennett and they have three sons, Jason, Joshua and Jerry. Michelle attends Grace United Methodist Church and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.
