Jay Sanders, CPA
Jay Sanders was born in Augusta and raised in Waynesboro, GA. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Harvey J. Sanders, Jr. He graduated from Burke County High School and went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mercer University in 1997. Jay earned is CPA license in 2000.
Jay worked with a regional accounting firm for 4 years before joining the team at Serotta Maddocks Evans, CPAs. Jay enjoys public accounting because it allows him to work in multiple types of businesses and with people from various backgrounds. Jay is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jay is involved in the community through his service as the Treasurer for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta and as the former Treasurer of the Richmond County Exchange Club. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee of Trinity Hospital of Augusta. He attends Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church where he serves on the Finance Committee. He has served as a member of the nominating committee of the Augusta Country Club.
Jay is married to Tara Harbin Sanders and they have two daughters, Ann and Emma Kate. Jay enjoys playing golf, hunting, and fishing.
