E. J. Maddocks, CPA, Partner

E.J. Maddocks of Augusta, GA graduated from Augusta State University with a Bachelors in Accounting.  E.J. decided to make his career in Accounting because he enjoys crunching numbers, doing taxes and helping clients succeed.  E.J.’s wealth of experience and knowledge of gift, trust, corporate and individual taxation and planning has enabled him to provide exceptional service to individuals and companies throughout the community.

The accounting profession also has recognized E.J’s accomplishments. He has:  been appointed by the Governor of Georgia to serve on the State Board of Accountancy, where he is currently serving as Vice Chairman; served on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA’s) Governing Council; served as President, Vice-President, and Director-at-Large of the Georgia Society of CPAs; served on the Georgia State Society’s Estate Planning Committee, Professional Ethics Committee; and chaired the Nominating Committee, Convention Committee and the Continuing Professional Education Committee

E.J. is also involved in the Augusta community through his affiliation with several civic organizations. He actively supports his alma mater and has served on the Board of Directors of the Augusta State University Alumni Association and as its President. He has also served as trustee and treasurer for the ASU Foundation.  A supporter of the Augusta Symphony, he has been president and treasurer in prior years. E.J. has worked with the Saint Mary School Foundation, the Saint Mary School Endowment Fund, the Aquinas High School Foundation, the Saint Mary’s Church Foundation, and has served on the Diocese of Savannah Diocesan Finance Board.

E.J. and his wife Carolyn have two children, Jared and Jeffrey.  E.J. enjoys hunting and traveling.
